Week 6 – Melissa Roorda
Profession/Where I Am Now: I am a Registered Nurse and live in Wasaga Beach, ON.
Camp Experience: I started volunteering at Rocky Ridge Ranch the summer after grade eight and worked there for a total of 9 years. I started as a kitchen girl, and worked my way to become the head cook for 3 years.
Fondest Memories: My fondest memories come from meal times and campfires. Sharing stories, having fun and creating friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
Lessons Learned: I love everything about Rocky Ridge Ranch. From their family values, safe and beautiful setting, to their genuine desire to be a blessing to staff, campers and their community.
Impact of Camp: I still visit, support and pray for RRR.
