The world has been changed and greatly affected by Covid-19. Some of the changes are good and they all have to do with time! More family time. More time to sort, organize, purge, clean! More meal times together. More time to complete activities, jobs, etc. Less travel time to work for many. More time to concentrate on what is really important – family, good health, our relationships, especially with the Lord.

In times like these we really do need to rely on the Lord. Here at Rocky Ridge we are doing just that. The short story? Since March Break we have been closed to visitors. That means we have had no revenue coming in and won’t until camp starts. (Yes, we are hoping, praying and planning on there being camp at Rocky Ridge Ranch this summer! Keep watch, stay tuned! We will be sending out updates.) Yes, we are feeding our horses but here’s the thing. We thought those who know and love RRR might be willing to help us out. One of our camper/staff Alumni (and present mom of campers and “Barno”), Claudette Costa-Busse, is an accomplished artist and she has donated one of her original pieces of art to us with the suggestion we hold a raffle or silent auction or something like that to raise money for hay for the horses. The piece is called Freedom ll and is a framed Original Pastel Drawing on 19″ x 24″ Canson Paper. Its framed size is 24″ x 31″. The value of this work of art is $1800.00. Beautiful, isn’t it?!!

We are holding a raffle that will run from May 1 – 15th. Tickets are $35.00 each or 3 for $75.00. A “live” draw will take place on May 16th. All you have to do is do an e-transfer (info@rockyridgeranch.org) or go to our Online payments tab and fill out your information. We will let you know we’ve received your order and put your name on a ticket and into the basket.
