What a way to celebrate our 50th year of operation! We had many special things planned for this momentous year until Covid-19 interrupted our plans. We’re looking forward to a 50+ year celebration in 2021!
As most of you have probably heard by now as of May 19th, the Ontario government, after consulting the Chief Medical Officer of Health, has stated that overnight camps will not be permitted to operate this summer. We are devastated as we know you are.
To our Campers – we want you to know we will miss you very much this summer. We know you are disappointed and likely wondering about all the changes in your life these last few months. We plan on keeping in touch with you over the summer, so keep an eye out for emails and check our social media platforms and website. And you know we’ll sure be praying for you!!
To our Parents – we sure appreciate your support in providing a camp experience for your children; one that has provided opportunities for growth in so many ways – physically, emotionally, spiritually, in maturity and independence. We know these last few months have also been quite difficult for you. We look forward to continuing our partnership with you in order to provide lasting summer camp memories that will last a lifetime. We can hardly wait to be together again!
We are still awaiting confirmation from Halton Public Health but we are hoping and praying that day camps will be allowed to run. We have contacted them and they are going to be confirming with us next week. Of course, we are expecting that there will be added conditions and restrictions in place and we want to prepare for any and all eventualities. We will keep you updated.
To that end we are also looking at the possibility of Family Camps either for a day or potentially extended. If you and your family are interested, please let us know and we will investigate this idea further.
We know many families are struggling financially at this time. The Ranch, too, is experiencing financial difficulties as we face losing the majority of our annual income during these summer months. We covet your prayers and, should you be in a position to help, your financial support. Income tax receipts are available.
No temptation (testing) has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted (tested) beyond what you are able, but with the temptation (testing) will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13
