Hard to believe that it’s here. Christmas is here!! It seems like Summer Camp 2015 just finished. Were you here for Christmas in July? Well, all that we learned in Chapel and family breakfast Bible thought is now foremost in our thoughts. For those of you who have never been to camp for Christmas in July here are a few considerations:
- It is only Jesus Christ alone who can make Christmas. That’s why we look at the Jesse Tree, a tree that has roots deep in history right from the beginning of Genesis in the Old Testament all the way through to the New Testament, sweeping across Jesus’ Word and His-Story, from the Garden of Eden to Noah to Jonah to Ruth to David to Zechariah to Mary to Bethlehem. We’ll see the very first blinking star in the beginning of creation right through to the brilliant star that led the Wise Men to Bethlehem!
- Santa looked at the tree and was very pleased. He looked back at me and I saw the twinkle was back in his eyes. He said, “Remember, teach the children the true meaning of Christmas and not to put me in the centre, for I am but a humble servant of the One who is and I bow down and worship Him, our Lord and our God.”
- We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about. We need to keep Christ in CHRISTmas. Jesus is still the reason for the season.
Everyone at RRR wishes you a blessed and Merry Christmas with the very best of wishes for a wonderful 2016. See you for Summer Camp 2016!!
